The cottage is a beautiful, small cozy log cabin with large picture window facing east on the ocean. The cabin sits in an old apple orchard and meadow, with 9 acres of private woods and trails behind. Separate wood-fired sauna sits near the ocean.
This is an incredibly beautiful place - the red rock formations along the beach, the blue waters, green spruce trees, lush meadows, wild flowers, song birds, colorful apples, spectacular sunrises, bald eagles flying overhead, deer feeding in the yard daily.
We are on the Marine Drive and 45 minutes from famous Cape Breton.
The people love music. There are weekly and even nightly venues: Scottish music, country, contemporary, classical, formal and informal, and most are free.
Modern bathroom with glass shower stall and rain-style shower-head and plenty of hot water.
We do NOT recommend the cabin for elderly couples or the disabled, since there are no ramps, the stairs to the loft are steep and the beds are tucked under the eaves.
